Freedom!!!

My model doesn't represent the space inside or that outside it doesn't talk about the difference of the two.
It represents openness and height, because to me freedom it standing tall and taking flight.
The structure is deliberately delicate to represent the fragile quality of freedom.

foundation park

The visible openness of the space, its honesty, is quite contrary to the feeling of security that overcomes you inside the space, much like an embrace enveloping the body and flowing through as warmth. The serenity affords the mind a sense of calm almost lulling the mind into a meditative state so as to allow it to fully grasp the bodily experience. One can feel the warmth of the bench almost as though someone was just seated there. The boundless energy of all that surrounds you seems to flow towards the body washing over one like a wave, yet so gently that you merely bob up and down.

As you move through the levels that at first drew you to this secret corner, the ground seems almost as if it’s coming to life under your limbs and the rhythm of the up and downs, the highs and lows correspond to the beating of a heart. There is life here in this seemingly empty place and its energy and character can be felt in every corner of its boundaries.

Almost as Alice wandered curiously through the looking glass into wonderland one’s body moves over the land inch by inch examining every sight from all conceivable angles. You run your hand over the bricks, through the grass and over the wood taking in a sense of their character.

This place plays with you almost as much as you curiously examine it, just as the sunlight flickers through the leaves into your eyes, not so much blinding you as sparkling before you. It alters your state of mind your sense of space and most of all your perception of depth and height.

There’s a sense of the past and a feeling of nostalgia that linger and the music that floods from the streets below only adds to this unique gardens charms. Every wall, brick or grain of sand has a feeling a texture a sense of identity. Everything has a taste a smell and aura of its own and together it all ties together into one big blanket that just surrounds, comforts and radiates warmth; leaving you secure and happy.

This is a space where you could sit hours on end and still not be entirely satisfied with having experienced it enough, there is no limit to how much you can take in of this landscape and its character.
